Hello, Ink City! (And possibly future other games reading this.) Here's the deal: Chandra is a red-aligned planeswalker. In layman's terms (at least for the part relevant to you), this means that she draws mana from the land and uses it to cast spells. Specifically, red spells, which tend to be spells of chaos, destruction, emotion, and impulse. Among these are fire spells, Chandra's specialty.
Now, upon arriving to Ink City, Chandra has lost all of her mana bonds, and has none upon which to draw. This is where you come in; if you have a location brought into the city, Chandra might try to draw mana from it. Don't be alarmed! This process does not hurt the land or the people on the land at all. Heck, if you don't catch her doing it, you won't even notice at all.
In addition to looking for specifically red sources of mana (more on the colors in a second), she'll be able to tell what sort of mana your location would produce. This would cause her to avoid certain places that might seem unpleasant to her, and be drawn towards places that could help her out. As such, I need your help determining what color of mana your home would produce. Just fill out this simple form:
Location Name: What is the name of your location?
Location: Where is your location located? Lot numbers are fine for in the city, and for out of the city, give me a general direction.
Physical Description: A physical description of the location.
Metaphysical Description: What sort of things happen in this location, both in canon and in the game? What sort of people (or other being types) use the location? What are their means and motives for being? This is the important part.
Guess: Based on my introduction (and any knowledge you might have of Magic: the Gathering), guess what color (or colors) of magic your location might produce. This section is optional.
A quick rundown of the colors:
If you have any questions on this system, feel free to ask! And if you'd like me to assign your character one or more colors of magic, I'll be happy to do that as well. ^^

A quick rundown of the colors:
- White:
White is the color of order, law, and justice. White likes to work together for the greater good. Note that White is not necessarily good, but it is hierarchical. Its basic land type is Plains. Its allies are Blue and Green. Its enemies are Black and Red. - Blue:
Blue is the color of artifice, logic, and knowledge. Blue is all about its desire for knowledge above all other things. Blue wants to gain knowledge and shape its own world, believing that life is a blank slate. Its basic land type is Island. Its allies are White and Black. Its enemies are Red and Green. - Black:
Black is the color of ambition, greed, and decay. Black is after power at all costs. Black is about putting the needs of the self over the needs of others. Note that Black is not necessarily evil, but it is self-centered. Its basic land type is Swamp. Its allies are Blue and Red. Its enemies are White and Green. - Red:
Red is the color of chaos, emotion, and impulse. Red does what it wants; screw you if you get in its way. But leave Red alone and you're probably fine - unless you're hurting other people's individual freedoms, in which case Red might take issue with you on principle. Its basic land type is Mountain. Its allies are Black and Green. Its enemies are White and Blue. - Green:
Green is the color of nature, instinct, and community. Green is about letting nature run its course, both with people and with the land. Green believes that everyone has their fate and is subject to it, regardless. Green also tries to interfere with the land as little as possible. Its basic land type is Forest. Its allies are White and Red. Its enemies are Blue and Black.
If you have any questions on this system, feel free to ask! And if you'd like me to assign your character one or more colors of magic, I'll be happy to do that as well. ^^

Date: 2012-06-26 02:25 am (UTC)Location: Overlooking the Ocean
Physical Description: An unassuming hotel that looks like it belongs in a small town rather than this mishmash of a city.
Metaphysical Description: The Hotel basically houses York for most of the game. Well, York and Polly, who owns the place. It's where he relaxes and compiles all the information he's gathered at the end of the day. A place of rest, respite, and damn good coffee.
Guess: White/Blue

Date: 2012-06-26 02:25 am (UTC)Location: Lot 56
Physical Description: It's a tree. It's a library, in a tree. A unicorn lives there.
Metaphysical Description: Occasionally ZE MAGIKS happen here. Twilight DOES research magic on top of all her other points of interest, after all.
Guess: If we're pegging this to a land, it'd probably pop out Blue -and- Green mana.
Location Name: Frogsnuggler Gorge
Location: In the forests outside of town
Physical Description: A big canyon. Like, over 200 feet deep big. It's got a troll bridge crossing it, but no troll.
Metaphysical Description: It's pretty much abandoned at this point... except, well, Saft is staying there at the moment. There may also be a large spider-girl moving in.
Guess: Green, Red, or Black.
Berri has no location with her.

Date: 2012-06-26 03:11 am (UTC)Location: Lot 23
Physical Description: Right here
Metaphysical Description: Overall it's exactly what it sounds like, a house. It gathers all sorts of types there into a pseudo-family; we have your antiheroes, your real heroes, and your neutrals. There's a lot of power surrounding it inside and out, as there's very few "true" humans here (and the one we have in the city has a team of Pokemon). Each have their own motives and means, so look into the separate inhabitants for that (or ask!
I love going on and on about this kinda stuff.)Guess: Red
Location Name: Legato's greenhouse
Location: Lot 24
Physical Description: Detailed here
Metaphysical Description: It's a greenhouse. It's used for studying and breeding plants of all varieties, with a slight lean toward medicinal (as its owner is a licensed botanist, as well as a fighter).
Guess: Unsurprisingly, Green
Location Name: The Tortuga
Location: Middle of the beach, for the most part (it's mobile)
Physical Description: Here ya go
Metaphysical Description: It's a flying, swimming turtle/tortoise-shaped ship, used for the study of the animal kingdom and the development of related technologies. It has no Good or Evil purpose, it merely is. Its owners in the city are scientists, and it was created by an engineer, as well as crewed by two programmers on top of the previous three. The entire Tortuga team is into protecting and encouraging nature.
Guess: If not Blue, then Green
no subject
Date: 2012-06-26 03:25 am (UTC)Legato's Greenhouse: Yep, green is pretty spot on.
The Tortuga: Blue/green works just fine for this.

Date: 2012-06-26 03:52 am (UTC)The people of the house work as a unit, yes, however the inherent flow of energy's in that house are almost entirely chaotic. Things are always changing and shifting there, there's always a conflict they have to face, and a lot of the "togetherness" and "working as a unit" that they do is retribution based. While there are some inherently good people in there, a lot of it is "You brought the fight to us, and that was just dumb."
If anything I'd give it a mix of Red and White, strangely enough, but in its own way, that works for the people living there, and almost follows the nature of the owner of the house.

Date: 2012-06-26 03:36 am (UTC)Location: Lot 54
Physical Description: It's a large yellow water tower emblazoned with the WB shield.
Metaphysical Description: Not a TARDIS inside, I promise. Home to Warners. Broken as hell.
Guess: Red. (Used to be white?)
Location Name: Autobot Outpost Omega One
Location: Outskirts, north (plains ironically)
Physical Description: A massive standalone plateau, on the outside. Reddish rock. Quite imposing.
Metaphysical Description: Home to the Prime Autobots. Upholders of justice, killers of -- eh, let's just go with the justice part, that sounds good.
Guess: White
Location Name: The "Darksyde",
Blame Terrorsaur for that nameLocation: Outskirts, south/mountainous region
Physical Description: A crashed warship in a magma field. Bit out of the way.
Metaphysical Description: Home to Dappertron, affably (but absolutely) evil.
Guess: Primarily black, with shades of red.
Location Name: The Studio
Location: 55 on map
Physical Description: It's a somewhat off-kilter looking small older-style house, lots of windows, made of wood.
Metaphysical Description: Arty can be found here.
Guess: Green/white

Date: 2012-06-26 03:46 am (UTC)Location: On the outskirts by the forest
Physical Description: A run down medieval cathedral
Metaphysical Description: It houses the stitchpunks, Surka, and occasionally Optimus. It's where the stitchpunks hide and keep shelter from the outside world.
Guess: White/Green
Location Name: Trevor's compound
Location: By the well
Physical Description: A towering military/science complex, filled with cameras, labs, and chambers.
Metaphysical Description: Trevor's headquarters, where Trevor collects intel and preforms his experiments.
Guess: Blue/Black
no subject
Date: 2012-06-26 03:49 am (UTC)Trevor's Compound: Yep. Very blue, very black. Probably I'd give the slight edge to blue, but it's not enough to make a difference.

Date: 2012-06-26 03:50 am (UTC)Location: Lot # 76
Physical Description:
What Kirby's house looks like on the outside.
The inside of Kirby's house is like any other regular house. It has a small room with a chimney with a fireplace as well as a small futon, a single window, an orange floor, a bed, and a blue carpet.
Metaphysical Description:
Kirby's house doesn't appear much game-wise. Its first appearance was in the story intro for the Japanese version of Kirby's Dream Course (the intro was removed in the American version for some reason), and since then, it is seen in Kirby's Star Stacker as well as in the ending for the "Milky Way Wishes" sub-game in Kirby Super Star and the remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra. The inside description is based on its appearance in the anime. As for what happened to it in Ink City, nothing yet.
Guess: .... I'd say Green/White?
As far as characters and "types," I'd guess about Red/White/Green for Kirby... maybe?
I tried to ask my dad for help, but he had no idea what I was talking about so... >.>

Date: 2012-06-26 03:51 am (UTC)Location: In Doc's garage
Physical Description: I seriously shouldn't tell you what the DeLorean looks like
Metaphysical Description: It's the biggest plot point and cause the protagonists so much trouble while at the same time it being the only means of getting out of the trouble
Guess: No idea, I'm just doing this part for fun
Location Name: Agent P's underground lair
Location: Underground
Physical Description: This
Metaphysical Description: It's where Perry goes to get his mission and where most of his fancy technology is.
Guess: Blue...?
no subject
Date: 2012-06-26 03:59 am (UTC)Agent P's Lair: Blue sounds pretty good, with a healthy dose of white thrown in, since Perry works as part of a government organization protecting innocent people from the evil machinations of Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Date: 2012-06-26 04:06 am (UTC)Tacky.Hard to say, given that M:tG is largely high fantasy, but it would depend on the type of people that live in them. The mobile home itself would likely be an artifact, but a trailer park would be a land.

Date: 2012-06-26 04:04 am (UTC)Location: Lot 45!
Physical Description: It's a two floor building, which is probably like two Pokemon Centers from the game put together.
Metaphysical Description: In canon, it's where Shiro goes to get her Pokemon healed after battles. Along with that, the second floor is Shiro's room, where she sleeps and probably secludes herself to most of the time.
Guess: Probably White?
Location Name: ...Big damn spider web?
Location: A good bit into the forest; not too far, but you won't start seeing threads until a bit in.
Physical Description: A large, tightly woven spider web that houses just about everything Ava has.
A decent amount of food stolen from places in the city are here, whoopsMetaphysical Description: It's where Ava traps any prey that dares to come into the forest (provided that Ava's willing/able to nab them), and where Ava stores just about anything she can.
Guess: Red or Black? I'm not totally sure.
no subject
Date: 2012-06-26 04:08 am (UTC)Big damn spider web: Spiders in M:tG are pretty much exclusively green, actually. From the sounds of it, this might be green/red.

Date: 2012-06-26 06:06 am (UTC)Location: Lot 32
Physical Description: Over here!
Metaphysical Description: The entire place has a very Eldritch aura to it. Originally it was not only Anton's collection of the archaeologically dubious, but also where much of the research and rituals for attempting to restore Norrington to power and return him to the Dark Dimension occurred.
Guess: Blue/White
Location Name: The Narrator's Room
Location: Lot 7
Physical Description: Right here!
Metaphysical Description: It's a very bizarre little "imaginary construct" of a location, and is something like a pocket dimension that doesn't adhere much to the laws of reality. While it's home to a manifestation of someone's super-ego, a being that that falls mostly under Blue/White ideals, the area itself literally exists inside the mind of a completely id-driven sociopath. You won't be feeding off the Narrator's mana here; you'll be feeding off Max's.
Guess: Red
no subject
Date: 2012-06-26 12:41 pm (UTC)The Narrator's Room: Red seems like a good fit, for the reasons you suggested.

Date: 2012-06-26 06:51 pm (UTC)And yeah, Max (or his energy at least) can't be anything other then Red |'D;

Date: 2012-06-26 10:29 am (UTC)Location: By warehouse (Lot 77)
Physical Description: A highly mechanical building that is conical in shape with a flat top, only ten floors tall but each floor is full Transformer (40 ft or so) tall, so very tall building.
Metaphysical Description: The base was once a university before Polyhex was burned, it was reformatted into the main Decepticon base. In game it houses all those from it's origin canon as well as all those that Megatron takes into his care. They types of people will change from time to time, but there will always be robots living there.
Guess: Blue most likely, white is a much less accurate second.
no subject
Date: 2012-06-26 12:45 pm (UTC)no subject
Date: 2012-07-01 06:59 am (UTC)Megatron is from the Shattered Glass universe, which means that he is actually the good guy waving the 'freedom for all sentient beings' flag. He actually never set out to be a leader, simply to end the war that he saw destroying the lives of his people and take down the tyrant that would have them all under his heel if he had his way. He and his loyal Decepticons are on a whole selfless for an entirely selfless reason.
And after talking with a friend, to make sure my perception of this was on the right track, they agreed that there is no chance that any black would be found at the base.

Physical Description: http://shutupandwalk.dreamwidth.org/1715.html#cutid1
Metaphysical Description: In game, this is the where the higher ups of the Reaper's Game meet- the Reaper's Game being one for dead people. It's also where the Composer (aka Josh) lives.
Guess: My temptation is to say Black (because of, you know, death), but I think Blue is more accurate thanks to the character who lives there, with White being second most for the aspect of a meeting place for a hierarchy. Aka I don't think Chandra will like this place. XD

Date: 2012-06-26 06:33 pm (UTC)Blue also seems to fit. Blue/black would be my guess.

Date: 2012-06-26 09:25 pm (UTC)Location: First building southwest of the Ink Well
Physical Description: It's an indoor arena with a large raised platform in the middle. Everything's made of stone/earth
Metaphysical Description: Toph has yet to really find it, but she'll likely end up sleeping there most nights. Characters are more than welcome to come in and check it out too. In canon, this place houses the Earth Rumble VI, where earthbenders compete and try to knock each other off the edge of the platform in the middle.
Guess: Black?

Date: 2012-06-28 04:31 pm (UTC)Location: Lot 33.
Physical Description: A very pink garden filled with colorful flowers. Ichigo has added a large patch of strawberries. There's also a swing hung from a particularly strong tree at the top of the garden. Overall, a pleasant place for strolling or rolling along.
Metaphysical Description: In We ♥ Katamari, Ikebana Flower Garden is one of the many places the Prince and his cousins must roll katamari to fulfill a fan's requests and give the King of All Cosmos something to create new planets and stars from, in order to finish replacing everything he knocked out of the heavens in the original game. Though you can raze pretty much the entire garden nearly every time you roll there, it's always restored to normal immediately afterward, none the worse for wear. (My personal headcanon explanation as to why is over here, incidentally.)
In Ink City, meanwhile, while Ichigo doesn't live there, she frequently spends time there to tend to her strawberry patch, swing on the swing, practice her rolling, and stave off feelings of homesickness.
Guess: Green? Possibly White, as Ichi's basically Neutral Good and big on the whole "Let's all work together, yay~!
Unless you're a jerk" thing. The park's role in The Great Cosmos is a pretty big part of nature... or, at least, how nature works there. Buuuut rolling up everything sure doesn't LOOK like 'interfere with the land as little as possible', does it? (|¬_¬|)no subject

Date: 2012-07-12 08:34 pm (UTC)Location: Outskirts of the City
Physical Description: On the outside, it's an creaky, worn-down mess of a house that seems to be the true description of a haunted house. But the inside of the house has been repaired and glamored quite up a bit with magic, not that you can see it under the mess of books and papers that are scattered about (he's a bit of a slob!) The only thing that really shows he lives there and doesn't just use it as a library is a small bed in the corner and a little room he keeps cold with magic to preserve food and stuff.
Metaphysical Description: Artuan actually didn't spend a lot of time there after he finished his studies, but one of the last key moments that shaped his drive for power happened here: his mother's death. So although his time spent there isn't impressive in numbers, it's enough to be his base of operations. It serves as his base of operations, and holds all of the research he's accumulated over the years.
Guess: I'd say either blue or black. Artuan's a mage, and was taught that knowledge is power, and power is very, very good. But at the same time, since he doesn't really have a lot to chain him down and keep him under control, his megalomania's kind of soared into "I control blood, I CONTROL THE UNIVERSE" territory. Everything he does is for his abilities in blood magic and to further his own abilities.
This probably isn't much to go on, it's hard describing a place that only really exists abstractly. Curse you, MMOs with lack of housing!
